The Matthews Opera House is excited to announce the EMMY award winning Zinghoppers Dance Party, which is part of the Young Family Series for ages 9 and under. It will be held Saturday, September 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. $9 for adults and $6 for children. Check out video below. BUY TICKETS
The main floor of the theater will be cleared of all chairs for dancing! If anyone needs to have a seat, the balcony will be open, however we ask that dancing be limited to the main floor. Please, no strollers or car seats in the theater. Every child will have to have a ticket and all groups must have an adult with them — no drop-offs please.
Emmy winners
Created in the classroom by husband and wife preschool teachers, their music is educational, entertaining and engaging. They have an EMMY Award winning kids TV series airing on over 150 PBS member stations nationwide. They have also seen by over 3 million people daily in 175 countries on the Armed Forces Family Channel.
The Zinghoppers are a fun and lively group that sets their music to hip-hop, bubblegum pop, and electronic dance music. They write age-appropriate lyrics for a preschool and early elementary age audience. Their main goal is to get their audience dancing! They have a simple goal: “to rock the world, to party and to have fun.” A goal they certainly accomplish, with one reviewer describing them as “Barney meets the Black Eyed Peas.” With their upbeat rhythms and positive attitude, even mom and dad will want to get on the dance floor!
