On Saturday, Dec. 4, The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center will be hosting Santa and opening his free craftshop for all the kiddos to make some awesome holiday art!

From 1-4 pm, Santa will be visiting the opera house lobby to greet the children of Spearfish and hear their Christmas wishes.

Hot cider and candy canes will be on hand. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras.

Visit the Art Gallery for Santa’s Craftshop

The art gallery on the first floor will have Santa’s Craftshop available from 11 am to 5 pm on December 4.

The gallery will be running children’s activities from 11 am to 5 pm on December 4. Craft workstations will be set up around the gallery along with necessary supplies for kids to make different crafts.

Suggested age ranges

The suggested age range is 3-14 for all activities, but older children and parents are welcome to join in. Children under the age of 6 require adult supervision when using scissors or wire cutters, and children under the age of 4 require adult supervision always as every activity involves glue and choking hazards.
