Artist Workshops: Cardboard Printmaking

Join us in the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center gallery for our free artist workshops! Twice a month we will offer classes led by practicing artists in a variety of media. Each workshop is a three-hour session in which you will get hands-on experience in crafting your own masterpiece.
On Thursday, March 10, we will feature Mary Baker, teaching the art of printmaking with cardboard. Future workshops include instruction on linoleum block printing (3/24), embroidery (4/14), simple bookmaking and printing (4/28), comics and animation (5/12), leather-bound journals (5/26), and sewing (6/9).
These events are free, however, we always encourage a “pay as you can” donation to help offset the cost of supplies.
These workshops are a makeSPACE at the Matthews event, made possible by the South Dakota Arts Council.
