Artist Workshops: Linoleum Block Printing

Join us in the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center gallery for our free artist workshops! Twice a month we will offer classes led by practicing artists in a variety of media. Each workshop is a three-hour session in which you will get hands-on experience in crafting your own masterpiece.
On Thursday, March 24, we will feature Mary Baker, teaching the art of linoleum block printing. Future workshops include instruction on embroidery (4/14), simple bookmaking and printing (4/28), comics and animation (5/12), leather-bound journals (5/26), and sewing (6/9).
These events are free, however, we always encourage a “pay as you can” donation to help offset the cost of supplies.
These workshops are a makeSPACE at the Matthews event, made possible by the South Dakota Arts Council.
