Director, Ann Froelich, and volunteer, Mary Redmond, took some of the children’s theater camp to West River Studio for the opportunity of painting a Mad Hatter painting. The rest of the group used their creativity by making “Alice in Wonderland” themed sidewalk chalk drawings. (scroll down for pictures)
Fifty children are currently in rehearsals for Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland JR,” the ninth season of children’s theater at The Matthews. “The camp is so large, that we had to divide them into three groups for the painting project,” mentions Ann Froelich. “Tomorrow, the next group will be doing a Cheshire Cat painting, and finally, on Thursday, the Alice painting will be the subject for the third group,” she continues.
“We tip our hats to Nancy Tripp and crew at West River Studio,” remarks Jayne Rose, The Matthews marketing manager. “They are great with kids, especially a larger group.”
