It was a week of aching backs, necks, dropped paint cans, and a very loyal boyfriend and husband.
The Matthews’ Art Gallery went through a metamorphosis last week. After taking down the 36th Winter Art Show and before the Ethan Engel Art Exhibit, all the walls where primed and painted. The color spectrom ran from a subtle light warm gray to Tuscan gold, plum, and green. The back room also was repainted.
The staff is glad it’s over, in particular, Ava Sauter and Samantha Thompson. These women (and their significant others) did the brunt of the work. Sian Young and Jayne Rose ruined some perfectly good clothes too.
