Richard DuBois’ touch will always remain at The Matthews

As we all say goodbye to artist Richard DuBois, we would like to reflect on his art that will be a permanent fixture here at The Matthews.

Did you know that in 1973 Richard (with some very helpful assistants) painted the interior of the opera house theater’s dome?  “Dick was the leader of the group.  He painted all of the cherubs.  Me?  I was responsible for the blue,” laughs Peter Young. So the next time you are at an opera house event, look up, and thank Richard.
