Discover how visionary teachers helped shape communities and generations of learners. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring donations of school supplies—such as crayons\, colored pencils\, and scissors—to support kindergarten and special needs programs. Your contributions will help promote summer learning and fine motor skill development for children in our community. \nHere is a list of more suggested items: \n\nBaby wipes/wet wipes (safe on hands)\nPaper towels\nTissue Boxes\nBackpacks\n 3- ring binders with clear pocket on cover (please plain only\, white preferred)\nPoly (plastic) folders with 3 prongs\nWide-Ruled Spiral Notebooks\nPencil boxs (large enough to fit pencils\, crayons\, scissors\, glue\, markers\, etc.).\n\n\n​Washable Crayola markers\n\n\nSmall package-colored pencils​\nGlue Sticks (please no scented glue)\nSmall (16-24 count) box Crayola crayons (Crayola are the best)\nScissors (friskars are the best)\nPencil eraser (the pink ones that are a little larger)\n EXPO dry-erase markers\n Bottle Elmer’s liquid glue\n Package #2 SHARPENED pencils\nWatercolor paint\ncontainers of playdough\nHeadphones (No earbuds please)\nWater bottles\nSnacks\nCardstock\nFigit Toys for busy time\n\nLet’s come together to honor our educators and support the next generation of learners! \n\nAbout the Bellman Brown Bag Series…\nThe Bellman Brown Bag series is a humanities program designed to explore ideas\, history\, literature\, art and culture. The Brown Bag program was developed by Dr. Stewart Bellman in the 1990’s. Recognizing the Matthews Opera House as an ideal venue for the exploration of humanities topics\, he engaged a line-up of speakers to present programs on a range of humanities topics each month. \nDr. Bellman was a professor of English at Black Hills State University\, Spearfish\, SD. His teaching career spanned thirty years. Bellman retired from BHSU and passed away in November 2002. \nPrograms are presented on the second Wednesday of each month\, noon to 1pm. Designed to begin and end within the lunch hour\, patrons are invited to bring their lunch\, if desired\, or simply enjoy an hour of learning and entertainment.  This is an opportunity to gain insight into themes that touch our daily lives.
