SUMMARY:The Two Tracks
DESCRIPTION:On June 5th\, The Two Tracks release their 5th studio album\, Seasons Unknown. And also on June 5th\, they’re LIVE on our historic stage at 7pm!\n\n\n\nThat feels like a pretty great reason to celebrate\, so we’re inviting all ticket holders to hang with us and the band before the show.\n\nCome by at 6:00pm for a laid-back album release shindig. Meet the band\, connect with other fans\, and help us give Seasons Unknown a proper welcome.\n\n\n2022 & 2024 Wyoming Arts Council Performing Arts Fellowship Winners\n\n\n“They avoid many of the cliches and gimmicks that have grown common in the Americana world while still championing a natural\, Earth-grown sound. To hear an acoustic quartet reach a level of dynamic and thematic intensity like The Two Tracks do is an immeasurably rewarding experience. It’s pure musicianship\, it’s pure excellence\, it’s pure Americana.” – American Songwriter\n\nRooted in the wide-open landscapes of Wyoming\, The Two Tracks create music that fuses rich storytelling\, soulful harmonies\, and the spirit of the American West. Led by songwriters Julie and Dave Huebner. With Taylor Phillips on bass and Fernando Serna on drums\, the band has carved out a sound that nods to ’70s Americana while forging something entirely their own. Dave’s signature cello playing\, woven into the band’s four-part harmonies\, brings a distinctive edge that sets them apart.  \nWith four acclaimed albums and tours across the U.S. and abroad—including a performance at the World Expo in Dubai—the band has graced major stages such as Americanafest (TN)\, Kate Wolf Music Festival (CA)\, Albino Skunk Music Festival (SC)\, Red Ants Pants (MT)\, and NewWestFest (CO). They’ve also shared bills with artists like Orville Peck\, Eilen Jewell\, The Brothers Comatose\, and Shook Twins. \nTheir most recent release\, It’s a Complicated Life\, produced by Will Kimbrough and engineered by Grammy-winner Sean Sullivan\, highlights the band’s dynamic range: from Julie’s raw reflections in The Push and The Pull and Dave’s heartfelt Momma’s Gone\, to political anthems like Workingman’s Blues and the infectious rocker In the Morning. \nAt the heart of The Two Tracks is a deep commitment to connection\, on stage and on record. Their four-part harmonies\, heartfelt songwriting\, and joyful energy resonate long after the last note\, leaving audiences with the sense of having truly shared an experience. Album #5 is already on the horizon\, slated for a 2026 release. \n\n\nDoors open at 6:00 PM\, and the show starts at 7:00 PM on Friday\, June 5\, 2026\, right here at The Matthews Opera House. Tickets are $25 + Fees

SUMMARY:The Dead & Down and My Second Rodeo
DESCRIPTION:Cascadel (formerly The Dead & Down)| April 10\, 7PM | The Matthews Opera House. Alt-country meets prog-rock in a sound that refuses to fit in one bin. \n\n\n\nCascadel is an indie roots-rock band that refuses to stay in one lane. Fronted by Taylor Burlage’s introspective songwriting and dusty vocals\, they blend alt-country\, atmospheric indie rock\, psychedelia\, and unexpected prog-rock detours into something that feels entirely their own. Their Montana roots run deep\, and so does their ambition—they’ve opened for Fruition\, Futurebirds\, and Blind Pilot\, and their 2024 release No Broken Bones proves they’re a band willing to take real chances. As one critic put it: “Alt-country\, but on the moon—and still so down to earth.” \nYou’re in for a night of music that stays interesting. April 10\, 2026 at The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center. Doors TBD\, show time 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20. My Second Rodeo opens the show. Come early\, stay late\, and bring friends who appreciate the kind of songwriting that makes you think and move at the same time. \nThis is the kind of music and artistry we’re proud to bring to downtown Spearfish. When bands like Cascadel choose to play here\, it’s a reminder that the Black Hills are on the creative map. \nGrab your tickets now. At $20 and with a night this good\, seats won’t wait around.

Equally inspired by jazz-fusion exploration from the likes of Steely Dan\, Atlanta Rhythm Section\, and Yes\, and the guitar-driven prowess of Allman Brothers Band\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, and Grateful Dead\, This Road dives in and out of grooves and moods\, turning on a dime\, but always focusing on what the band sees as the most important aspect; the song. Oh\, and keeping the crowd on their dancing feet. In addition to telling stories and gleaning wisdom from life\, love\, and struggle\, This Road captures an array of emotions and moods drawn from the dramatic narrative of living on the road in a touring band.” \n– Grateful Web \n— https://www.gratefulweb.com/articles/runaway-grooms-announce-their-third-genre-melding-release-road \nNot only do we have an incredible lineup of JAM-uary performers\, Crow Peak Brewery is on-site to keep the libations flowing! \nTicket sales help benefit local nonprofit organizations. \nListen Now…\n[arve url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcqtQk__KEA” loop=”no” muted=”no” /]
