The series has been extended to June 17!\nArtCentral Spearfish hosts a series of community discussions with local songwriters\, every Monday\, 6-7:30 p.m.\, Mar. through June 17.  All discussions take place at the Good Day Cafe\, located at 541 W. Jackson Blvd. in Spearfish. These events are free and open to the public. \nLocal musicians and songwriters invite the public to have conversations about contemporary issues that influence their music. Songwriters will present several songs talking about the inspiration\, meaning\, and their hopes for what the songs may spark in their audience. DESCRIPTION:The weather is finally getting warmer and spring is officially here! To celebrate the sunnier seasons coming our way\, we are creating a challenge to households across the Spearfish area! \n\n\n\nIf you have access to a sidewalk (that you can safely practice social distancing on) we want you and your household to create a beautiful work of art using sidewalk chalk. We’ll post these amazing creations online and have people vote for their favorite. Here are the details: \n\n\n\n\nCreate a work of art on your sidewalk. It can be anything you want. Let your creativity shine!\nPost a picture of it on Facebook before April 30 and be sure to tag the Matthews Opera House Facebook page and use #MatthewsChalkChallenge\nOn May 1\, we will share everyone’s art and ask the public to vote for their favorite.\nWinner will get a free quart of Leones’ ice cream!
